1. Breaking Bats (17-5) —
8 game winning streak all coming via mercy wins. They are getting hot at the right time. They are cruising through the end of the season and haven’t been challenged recently. Kept themselves one game ahead of Hit Squad with 4 games left.
2. Hit Squad (16-6) ↑ 1
Did what they needed to do and swept NWO. Kept themselves in a close race against Breaking Bats for 1st seed. They have already secured themselves a top 3 seed. One win against Dynasty and they can’t do worse than 2.
3. Dynasty (13-9) ↓ 1
And the hot streak comes to an end. Not a good time to lay an egg. Had a chance to stay in the race for 1st seed but now looks very unlikely. 2-2 over the next 4 guarantees them a top 3 seed. They do end the season playing Hit Squad and Breaking Bats. A good test for each team to end their season on.
4. One’s (10-12) ↑ 1
Sweeping a hot Dynasty team is very impressive. Finally having their best guys show up at once is even more impressive. If their best showed up together all season they could have easily been in the top 3. The sweep against Dynasty put them in good position. They end the season with important matchup against Purple Reign and Bengals. Go 3-1 and you secure a playoff spot.
5. Purple Reign (10-12) ↓ 1
Getting beat by the top seed is not that concerning. Getting smashed with 2 mercy losses is. Only scoring 11 runs is not the make up of this team and maybe we can chalk that up to a bad weekend. Huge matchup this weekend against The One’s. Need a sweep there as they end their season against Hit Squad.
6. Bengals (10-12) —
Splitting with Strike Force may haunt them. Playing short handed as the season is coming to an end while you are fighting for a playoff spot is not ideal. They have NWO up next and must come out with a sweep. They follow that with a matchup against The One’s which may determine who’s in and who’s not.
7. Strike Force (7-15) —
They got a much needed win against Bengals to at least mathematically stay alive for a playoff spot. They are going to need to win out to have a chance and hope 2 teams above them lose out. Unfortunately for them they have the hottest team up next.
8. NWO (5-17) —
They are showing up and playing hard. They can really play spoiler against Bengals this week. Their final week likely won’t matter as they are playing Strike Force.
4 games left. Breaking Bats and Hit Squad have secured a top 3 seed. They will both be battling for the top seed, Breaking Bats in control as they are 1 game ahead.
Dynasty being 3 games up on 4th place and 3 games back from 2nd seem like a shoe in for that 3rd seed unless something crazy happens the final 4 games.
3 teams are tied for 4th. All you gotta do in the last 4 is go 3-1 and you have secured a playoff berth. Anything less and you are relying on the other teams to lose. The One’s are playing both Purple Reign and Bengals , a fitting way to end the season. Purple Reign has The One’s and than a tough Hit Squad. Bengals have a gift matchup against NWO this week, given them the easiest schedule over the next 4 games. It’ll be a fun end to the season to see which 2 teams make the playoffs and who gets
