SASL 2019 AWARDS NOMINEES
After a fantastic 2019 campaign in the SASL, the below award nominees stood out over all the rest. The voting for the below nominees will be until Thursday at 5pm. We will be announcing all the 2019 winners next week after the Finals.

AL MVP NOMINEES:
- Ahmad Halimi (HeavyHitaz)
- .574avg/1.87ops/9hr/29rbi/25runs
- Pros: Brought youth, energy and passion to an older team. Second in the league in homeruns.
- Cons: Injury cost him much of the season in the field. Lower batting average than rest of the candidates and low counting stats. Also part of a team with 4-5 other elite players.
- Charley Robinson (Savages)
- .730avg/1.98ops/5hr/43rbi/32runs
- Pros: Was the best player on the best team for much of the season. Solid defense and team captain.
- Cons: Part of a team with 4-5 elite players.
- Dan DiIorio (HeavyHittaz)
- .824avg/2.85ops/10hr/29rbi/20runs
- Pros: Had the best advanced stats and per game stats. Excellent defender as well.
- Cons: Played less than half the games. Also, counting stats weren’t there. Also team had elite record without him there.
- Jason Gregory (516)
- .731avg/1.87ops/0hr/27rbi/26runs
- Pros: Excellent on base machine and outfielder. Leader of 516.
- Cons: No power in his game. Team finished at .500.
- Hashim Naveed (Savages)
- .658avg/1.71ops/3hr/38rbi/45runs
- Pros: Excellent defense, and best table setter. Top 5 in league in many categories.
- Cons: Part of a team with 4-5 elite players that all carry the heavy lifting.
- Rafael Liriano (516)
- .617avg/1.81ops/7hr/35rbi/30runs
- Pros: One of the most talented players and carried 516 for much of season. Also, position versatility.
- Team finished at .500 and OPS is a notch below most middle of the order hitters.
AL ROY NOMINEES:
- Tom Kahl (Savages) – Unanimous Winner!

AL MOY NOMINEES:
- Ali Ghumman and John Sans (HeavyHittaz)
- Pros: Made huge offseason roster additions (Dan, Ahmad, Binu, Asad, etc.). Team finished second in standings.
- Cons: Powerhouse team should have finished 1st with the most complete 1-10 roster in the league.
- Zulfikar Musliwala and Charley Robinson
- Pros: Shored up the roster with adding TK and Jojo, and bringing back Yasar. Team finished 1st in standings wire to wire, never relinquishing it.
- Cons: Minor attendance issues.

- Pros: Best player on best team. 5 tool ability.
- Cons: Shaky defense this year. Avg lower than you would expect.
- Mike Liang (Dynasty)

- Pros: Possibly best defender in any position in the league. Excellent top 3 bat.
- Cons: Part of a team with 3-4 elite players.
- Mike Velez (Shooter McGavins)

- Pros: Carried team to 2nd seed. Very good defender as well. Top 5 in many counting categories.
- Cons: Team had a deep roster.
- Saeed Anwar (Bengals)

- Pros: Led the league in runs and aggressive table setter for team. Youth and energy infused the team with new attitude. Very good Outfielder.
- Cons: Low BA for a candidate and not consistent.

- Ali Najimi and Ammad Sheikh (Hit Squad)
- Pros: Revamped roster after losing 2 best players. Kept a veteran team interested all season long for another deep run.
- Cons: Finished 3rd in regular season and had some bad losses to the top 2 teams.
- Prince Panicker and Rakesh Nankumar (Scoobies Force)
- Pros: Brought back Force with a twist. Team was built top to bottom perfectly and chemistry was on point. Finished as first seed and advanced stats weren’t close.
- Cons: Merged two teams together to create a super NL team.
- Ronak Jain and Aasheesh Shravah (Shooter McGavins)
- Pros: Rookie team and had a great first season. Finished 2nd in their division and had depth from top to bottom. Bought in some great new talent to the league.
- Cons: Has a forfeit loss against Dynasty in their ledger.
