SASL D3 2021 – Week 4 Power Rankings
- Resurrection – Still leading the league at 7-3, Resurrection dropped a pair of games over the weekend despite putting up 30 runs of offense. Unless they can keep the opponents off the scoreboard, Resurrection could tumble in the power rankings over the next few weeks. It’s a setback but still in they’re still in top spot and should remain there if they can take care of business this weekend.
- Dad Bods – The Dad Bods had impressive wins over a dangerous Batz team. They have a winning record and may be a slight underdog to the league-leading Resurrection. Their defense was considerably better this week and they’re poised to stand out from the middle of the pack.
- Batz – Batz have dropped down a couple spots this week after a sweep this weekend versus the Dadbods. The first game was hard-fought but was ultimately decided in extra innings as the Dadbods took the game 11-10. The Bats will look to rebound this week and show the league why they’ve been successful all these years.
- Ruff Ryders – The Ruff Ryders showed impressive skills this week sweeping one of the league’s best in Resurrection. They put up nearly 40 runs in two games in a offensive show and took advantage of the long ball. They’re ranked at 4 this week and you can make the argument that they belong in the 2 or 3 spot.
- High Rollers – High Rollers can definitely be higher in the power rankings but there’s serious parity in the middle of the pack here. If not for an impressive showing by Ruff Ryders, their 5-5 record would normally net them a #3 slot in this week’s power rankings. The sweep of the lowly Hornets was necessary and should build up their confidence going into next week.
- Hornets – Still plagued by attendance issues and shaky defense, the Hornets were swept and mercied this weekend by the High Rollers. There are flashes of competency on occasion but the rest of the division is pulling away. Unless we see stronger fundamentals, the Hornets are signing a season-long lease with the number 6 spot on the power rankings.
