Al Bundy wins the South Asian Bowling League Championship

Al Bundy wins the South Asian Bowling League Fall Championship.  Al Bundy finished the regular season in first place. They dominated the first half of the regular season but then had to hold on to first place in the final week.  Going into the playoffs they took advantage of a first-round bye that is awarded to the top seed.  In week 2 short their anchor John DeMartino they were able to overcome the Bomb Squad due to very strong bowling by Ammad Sheikh in game 1 and Yasser Mir in all three games.

Heading into the finals Al Bundy found themselves taking on the Snipers.  Al Bundy teammates were in the Poconos and left at 6am to head to East Meadow Lanes for the finals.  The Snipers had put on a very strong performance against Throw the Damn Ball to make it to the finals.

In the Finals, it really came down to game 1.

Al Bundy put up a 648 scratch.  Paced by an South Asian Bowling career high high 277 for John DeMartino and a 232 by Yasser Mir.  With the high handicap Al Bundy put up an 814 to a 596 to the Snipers.  The deficit from game 1 proved to be too big of a hurdle for the Snipers.

JD was named the Finals MVP to cap his 3rd South Asian Sports Championship.
