Playoff Race

The Fight to the End : National League

Two weeks remaining. The NL playoff race goes down to the wire.

Who sneaks in? Who gets left out?

Breaking Bats (15 – 5)

This team has been probably the only team that has stayed consistent throughout the regular season. Even though the Breaking Bats have already clinched the playoffs, they should be finishing the season strong to keep their first seed and carry that winning momentum into the playoffs. The first seed is still on the line. Breaking Bats surge to keep that first seed, starts tonight vs Purple Reign. Let’s see if Breaking Bats can take advantage.

Hit Squad (16 – 6)

Lead by a group of veterans Solyman, Ali, and Ammad, Hit Squad started off the season hot, but were thrown from their throne very early in the season by Breaking Bats.
Since the roster freeze Hit Squad, have had a lot of changes to their roster, some guys have left and they have relied on new guys on the team. Currently sitting in the second place in the NL.
Hit Squad still has a chance to take the first seed by the end of Thursday night. All depends on what Breaking bats do vs Purple Reign. It’s very important for both Breaking Bats and Hit squad to try and grab that first seed…why? Bc, No one wants to face Dynasty and their loaded team currently sitting 3rd seed.

Dynasty (13 – 9)

This team is loaded with talent. Somehow they started off the season slow, and then went on a win streak. Dynasty who everyone thought had an easy match up vs Ones, They had their opportunity to move to 2nd place but ended up getting Merced and swept by the Ones. Is this team back to its bad spell it had in the beginning of the season?
Dynasty has a hard match up versus Hit Squad and Breaking Bats to finish the season off. Let’s see if this team can control their own fate and catch Hit Squad for the second seed or stay at third place.

Purple Reign (10 – 10)

This team was the most pleasant surprise in the NL. These guys were making a lot of noise on the field and off (literally). They started off very hot and have cooled off to the point where they possibly might fall out the playoffs race. Purple Reign due to attendance issues were forced to forfeit a few games. They will have to play like they did at the start of the season to keep their hopes alive. Stayed tuned.

Bengals (10 – 12)

Probably the least talked about team in the NL? They have had a weird season. They were on a nice winning stretch, at one point sitting at third place.
All of a sudden their players started dropping like flies, which resulted in a few loses to drop them to the 5th seed. Can this team get it together and limp their way into the playoffs? Two more weeks left, grab your popcorn and we shall see what happens.

The Ones (10 – 12)

What is this team? Are they a serious contender or a fluke? No one seems to know. Ones either play short or win big. Even with a slow start to the season, Ones are tied for the last playoff spot. They just won a huge series vs Dynasty keeping their hopes for a late playoff race alive. They have their own fate in front of them. Ones finish the season off with the 5th seed Bengals and Purple Reign this week. This is going to be a fun and exciting finish. Win or go home.

Strike Force (7 – 15)

They have had a lot of very close games, and unfortunately most of those games went for loses. As a result, this team is out looking in, still barely a heartbeat.
Strike force have to win out the season and watch over their shoulders and hope teams ahead lose. Good luck.

NWO ( 5 – 17)

Sitting at last place, Ayaz and company should start retooling for next season.
