A new #1 in the National League

American League Power Rankings

1. The Mighty Ducks

Opponents keep falling as the Ducks keep winning. Forget a winning streak because this team is looking for that perfect season. Swept in easy fashion yet again with 10 games left to complete the regular season perfection. Sid and Saad are keeping quiet and trying to stay under the radar, but this weeks games against Troopers and Savages might be enough to secure the first seed and home field advantage.

2. Savages

The champions have been in a comfortable place all year just waiting for the playoffs to arrive. #2 seed is all but locked now as they play out the year and get ready for the postseason. Still the team to beat to earn that elusive SASL cup. Their defense is not as strong as last year judging by the numbers, but there may not be a more explosive offense in the league.

3. Mets

2 big wins over 516 to escape the SNL ranking. Mercy win followed by a nail biter to complete the sweep. They’ve almost captured the 3 seed and have tie breakers on all the other teams in contention under them. They have 3 weeks left and two of them are against opponents under .500. Top 3 players (Harp, Ramy, Kunal) are all over the AL leaderboards.

4. Outlaws

The team that has quietly had a great year considering the attendance issues and the youth development of some. Even with the defeat against Savages this team has been put themselves to control their own destiny for a playoff birth. The up and down season gets considerably tougher where they face the Ducks twice, Empire once and 516 once.

5. 516

Losing 4 of the last 6 games has dropped one of the more talented teams into a place none expected. They had some emotional exchanges yet again with their opponent with yet another defeat. Only they can come out of this funk just as it seems it’s them who’ve put themselves into it. When focused, they can be the best team in the league. But they are their own worst enemy and the pressure is only rising.

6. Empire

Swept at the hands of the Ducks? Can we blame them losing to an undefeated team? Attendance issues have killed this team whether it’s from injury or personal reasons. If they lose both to the Outlaws this week the season’s over and it’s time to start planning for 2019. Playoffs start now! Adding Shawn and Khurram to a talented roster that made the finals last year, this team lost a lot of close games. Their best days may be ahead.

7. TROOPERS

It doesnt matter how you do it as long as it’s a victory. First 2 wins of the season via forfeit. Let’s tip our caps to Sunil and Mohan for bringing a team to play every week in a lost season. They have a makeup game against Ducks this week and the team has already claimed that they will be giving the Ducks their first L of the season. Good luck!

8. Scooby Scorers

A great team but what happened? Is it officially time to wave the white flag? Was this week the beginning of forfeit weeks? Hope not because there’s no team that can play spoiler better then these boys. Too much talent to not be playing on Sunday. Forfeiting games is absolutely uncalled for and we are hoping the Scooby Scorers leadership team can get thru the importance of playing thru the season with some pride.
