2018 SASL All-Star Teams Announced

See who will be suiting up this Sunday in the All-Star showcase!

All-Star Day Details

The All Stars have been announced and the draft has taken place. 15 All Stars, the best from each league were chose to represent in the annual SASL ALL-STAR GAME being held on June 17th Sunday.

The place to be this Sunday is Cantiague Park Field C and Field D (11am-4pm).

BBQ: starts at 11 am! Come early as we will be there early to grill!

SASL Skills Competition:

Fastest man 11:15-11:45
Outfield one: 11:45-12:15
Strongest arm: 12:15-12:30
Home run derby: 12:30-2

SASL All Star Game: 2:30-4

The concept of drafting All Stars to two teams was stolen from the NBA (Team Lebron v Team Curry). And what a treat it was to have the captains strategize and draft accordingly. The captains were chosen based on who was at the top of the standings in each league. Ammad Sheikh of Hit Squad will captain Team Red and Saad Yousuf will captain Team Blue.

The All star game will be played with regular SASL rules at Cantiague C with a Nassau county umpire. SASL All Star shirts will be provided to participants of the game. Good luck and let’s enjoy some BBQ while we take in the competitions and the All Star Game!
